Dress Up Thursdays™ is a vehicle to get people thinking and talking about dress and image----its impact, its value, and benefit to the individual and to the community, the company or corporation, the school, and the home. Dress Up Thursdays™ is a public awareness campaign sponsored in Quincy by the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce and With You In Mind . QACC members can participate in the Dress Up Thursdays™ steering committee and in the promotional campaign by contacting the QACC.
The Dress Up Thursdays™ committee plans to sponsor a number of activities in the coming year to promote a professional image in the workplace. The QACC will sponsor a Business Image Award Contest to get businesses thinking and talking about dress and image ---its impact, and value, and benefit to the community.
Quincy Health Care Management volunteered to implement Dress Up Thursdays™ in their workplace on a pilot basis this winter to improve their professional image. Suzanne Ellerbrock, Executive Director of QHCM, felt that if her staff’s appearance improved, so would their confidence, competence, and self esteem. She saw their organization’s participation in the project as a win win situation for the business and the employees.

 “Y” Not Be the Biggest Loser?”
With You In Mind is donating a Dress Slim Image Makeover to winners of the Quincy YMCA’s “Y” Not Be the Biggest Loser Contest. Competition runs from January 17 th to April 19 th, 2007. Winners will be announced on April 19 th, 2007.

The program Cashing In On Dressing Up is designed to stimulate a discussion about the benefits of professional dress within th workplace and the community. The presentation enlightens participants on the elements of image and how to use appearance as a tool to achieve personal and professional goals. During the program Kathy Wolters, image management specialist, introduces the Personal/Professional Style Scale TM, the nation's first real dress code.
