Kathy Wolters, Owner of With You In Mind, has over 30 years of experience in the areas of clothing and textiles, aesthetics/art, and human development.  She was an educator with the University of Illinois for more than 25 years, started her own handcrafted accessory business over two decades ago and has been an image consultant since 2000.  

Early in her extension career she discovered how much she enjoyed helping women find clothing that enhanced their appearance. Her students came in all ages, shapes and sizes which stimulated her interest in the area of image consulting.  

After her retirement she decided to enter the field of image consulting and explored training options that fit her background and philosophy.  She chose the Conselle Institute of Image Management because of their research based curriculum.  She is a certified affiliate of the Conselle Institute of Image Management.

Clients come to Kathy from the tri-state area, of Illinois, Missouri and Iowa, for timeless classic looks that enhance their bodies, fit their lifestyle and reflect their personal style.   She has a niche for helping women of all ages find special occasion clothing that fits and flatters them.  Professional men and women seek her services to gain self-confidence, update their image, and to be more promotable.  

Kathy teaches classes on how to dress for job interviews at area colleges and homeless shelters. She collaborates with The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce in providing a monthly column on professional dress and periodic in-service for their members. Kathy is an avid domestic and international traveler who knows how to travel light in attractive, appropriate clothing.  Annually she volunteers to help with the Quincy YMCA’s weight loss contest.

She is a member of The Association of Image Consultants International, and a member of The American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences, where she maintains her certification. Kathy belongs to the Quincy Rotary Club and the Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce.  She has been recognized by Quanada with a Hope and Dignity Award, by the Quincy Rotary Club with a Paul Harris Fellow Award, and by the IAFCS with an Outstanding Home Economist of the Year Award and is a life member of NEAFCS.

Kathy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics and a Master of Science degree in Education.  She constantly updates her professional and business skills through in-service at area institutions and through her professional affiliations.
