Kathy Wolters, Owner of With
You In Mind, has 26 years of experience
in the areas of clothing and textiles, aesthetics/art, human development,
and adult education with the University of Illinois. While working
for the U of I Extension, she was recognized for her program creativity
by her extension peers with a University of Illinois Outstanding
Program Award and the National Florence Hall Award. Kathy earned
a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics and a Master of Science
degree in Education.
Kathy is a master
in the use of accessories and found that she has a real talent
for selecting accessories that enhance
an individual’s
appearance. In 1990, she started a handcrafted accessory business.
Her customers return year after year for her unique selection of
exquisite wearable art and exceptional service.
Early in her
extension career she found she enjoyed applying the principles
of art and design to the human figure, which stimulated
her interest in the area of image consulting. After her retirement,
she pursued a career in image management services while
maintaining her With You In Mind accessory business.
Kathy received
training in the art and science of dress from the Conselle Institute
of
Image Management to expand her With
You In Mind business. Thus, as a Conselle certified
image management specialist, she applies her knowledge and skills
assisting men and women in the
development of their self-presentation skills.

She is a member of The Association of Image Consultants International,
and a member of The American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.
Kathy belongs to the Quincy Rotary Club and the Quincy Area Chamber
of Commerce. She has been recognized by Quanada with a Hope and Dignity
Award, by the Quincy Rotary Club with a Paul Harris Fellow Award,
and by the IAFCS with an Outstanding Home Economist of the Year Award.
Kathy enjoys
helping her clients look, act, and feel their best which in turn
leads to a higher level of self-esteem
and productivity.
Kathy says, “I feel as if I’m helping each client accomplish
their personal and professional goals. Self-presentation is a powerful
resource we can all use to accomplish our goals.”
